Job summary
Candidates should have two or more years of experience in several areas of labour and employment law (in both provincial and federal spheres). This includes employee discipline and termination, wrongful and constructive dismissal claims, human rights and the duty to accommodate, employment contract drafting and policy development, arbitrations, Labour Relations Board matters, occupational health and safety, and privacy. The ideal candidate has experience providing day-to-day advising to assist employers to navigate the legal and practical business issues that arise in these areas in a timely way.
In addition to a proven track record of solid legal ability, the successful candidate must be excited to engage in client development, demonstrate the importance of providing excellent and responsive legal services, and share our passion to continuing to build Western Canada's law firm and all the personal and professional opportunities that entails.
