Our Halifax office is currently seeking an Associate Lawyer to join our Business Law and Real Property practice groups.
Summary of responsibilities
Drafting, negotiating and closing commercial agreements of purchase and sale
Overseeing and reporting on real property due diligence matters
Handling of commercial financing transactions for lenders and borrowers
Reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial leases, offers and amending agreements
Handling land assembly, option, easement, leasing, permitting and project finance matters for large scale real estate developments, renewable energy projects and other natural resource matters
Skills & Qualifications
Three + years of relevant work experience;
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal and communication skills;
Strong research and writing skills and demonstrated ability to navigate complex real estate issues;
Self-motivated and can work independently but also values working collaboratively;
Proven effective client and practice management skills, and
Demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset is an asset.
