This is to fill one full-time permanent position, working 75 hours bi-weekly.

The Manager – Solicitors is responsible for the efficient operation of the Solicitors Group and for supervising and managing the provision of professional and comprehensive legal advice and services related to the Solicitors Group and such other professional practice units as may be determined by the ADM, from time to time.
The Manager - Solicitors must also themselves provide legal advice and services to Government of Yukon departments, corporations and elected officials including in respect of matters that are sensitive, significant, or high profile. Based on capacity and need of the group, this position will carry a reduced case load, with the management duties being the primary focus.
This position is a key member of the Senior Management Team (ADM, Director, Managers and Senior Counsel) who provides guidance and direction to staff and participates in the development and implementation of the department’s strategic, and operations plans, policies, and programs.
